Welcome David to the Service Team in LaMoure!
Welcome David to the Service Team in LaMoure!
We are excited to welcome David!
David was born and raised in LaMoure and grew up on a farm in the area. He graduated from LaMoure High School in 1989 and went on to attend North Dakota State College of Science Bottineau, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Wildlife Management. After graduating, David found it challenging to find a position in that field. That’s when his uncle, Mikey—who was working at John Deere in LaMoure at the time—invited him to help with equipment setup at L&E Equipment.
What started as a temporary job between college opportunities quickly turned into a long career. Nearly 28 years later, David had built an impressive career in the John Deere dealership network, working with a short time at RDO and many years at Green Iron Equipment. During that time, he served primarily as a service technician, while also spending a few years as a shop foreman and later as a service manager.
After leaving the dealership world, David spent six years working full-time for a local farmer before returning to the equipment industry.
David and his wife, Billi, have been married for 22 years. Before they were married, David jokingly told her they wouldn’t get married until the Minnesota Vikings won the Super Bowl—but eventually he decided not to wait any longer! Billi currently serves as the Clerk of Courts for LaMoure County.
Together they have one son, Dawson, who is 15 years old and a freshman at LaMoure High School. As a family, they enjoy camping and spending time with friends and family. In his free time, David enjoys hunting, fishing, relaxing, and watching football, baseball, and just about any other sport.
David also continues to farm with his dad and one of his brothers on their small family farm—the same farm where his dad grew up and where David was raised alongside his six siblings. As the oldest of the seven kids, farming remains an important part of his life.
Please join us in welcoming David to the team!
